Rift Timber was established due to the recognition of a need for a timber trading company that truly puts their customer first.
We see ourselves as production partners rather than simply traders, due to a wealth of expertise gained over decades in a variety of timber related fields. This expertise allows us to ensure that our clients are purchasing the right product to suit their individual needs, rather than a general market specification.

SUSTAINABILITY
We go to great lengths to perform our due diligence on all the mills we work with, thus ensuring they conform with industry best practices in relation to sustainable forest management.
At Rift this is very important to us as it aligns with our own ethical values regarding the treatment and conservation of the earths natural resources.
We ensure that all of our production partners have some level of certification whether it be OLB, PEFC or FSC in place. This gives us piece of mind that they adhere to an effective forest management plan and subsequently have a recorded chain of custody to verify the legality of their raw materials.
We respect and conform to the laws put in place by the European Union and the Lacey act and thus do not trade in species that are endangered.
