In the Middle East we found that most manufacturers follow the market trend, based on what the local timber traders have in their inventory.
This often results in manufacturers buying specifications and grades of timber that are wasteful for
their individual purposes.
For example, it would be common place for a furniture factory making chairs to purchase a grade of timber consisting mainly of long clear boards instead of a furniture grade that would be more suited to cutting components out of, simply because this is what is available with their local timber merchant.
As a result, we at Rift Timber have taken it upon ourselves to educate our customers and make sure they are really achieving the most bang for their buck.
